Winter Hardship Fund
Help to cover essential living costs such as heating, food and transport
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this coming winter will be very challenging for many in our island communities. Mull and Iona’s Community Hydro Scheme at Garmony supports Community projects through the Waterfall Fund. Green Energy Mull which owns Garmony Hydro has recently donated additional funds to the Waterfall Fund specifically to help individuals and households make ends meet through the winter months. We will award small grants (up to £250) on a straightforward and confidential basis. Payment will be via a pre-paid Debit Card.

Has your household income reduced due to the Covid-19 pandemic?
Do you need help to keep your home adequately heated, or to feed you/your family, or to get to work?
Are you unable to meet these costs from savings?
It is often difficult to ask for help. All applications will be dealt with sensitively and in complete confidence

There is no deadline for applications.
We do not expect the Fund to run out before the end of 2020 but will be monitoring it carefully.
